Can you believe it is the final week of school?  The last few weeks in particular have been a whirlwind.  Here’s what’s on the schedule for this week:

Monday, June 8th:  All-School BBQ  **Volunteer Opportunity, Contact the office if you are able to help**
Tuesday, June 9th:  PTA Year-End Dinner, 6:00 PM, Puerto Vallarta Twin Lakes.  Cost is $12.00 per person, payable at the dinner.
Tuesday, June 9th:  5th Grade Open House at Meeker, 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Wednesday, June 10th: Field Day – check with your child’s teacher if you would like to volunteer!

Thursday, June 11th:  5th Grade Graduation; 2:00 PM.  Families are encouraged to attend!
Friday, June 12th:  5th Grade Walk, Talent Show & Moving Up Day.  School is dismissed at 12:15!

9:20 – 9:30:  5th Grade Walk.  All of the lower grades line the hallways and cheer for the 5th grade students as they walk down to the talent show.  Parents are welcome to come at take pictures, cry a little, etc.  :)
9:30 – 11:00:  Talent Show.  Come watch our talented group of kiddos sing, dance, tell jokes, do a magic trick, etc!  
11:10 – 11:15:  Moving Up Transition
11:15 – 11:25:  Meet New Teachers
11:30 – 12:15:  Back in Class

Lost & Found:
Parents – the lost & found area is out of control.  There are SO many coats, sweatshirts, jackets, shoes, lunchboxes, etc. waiting to be claimed!  This is your last week to come in and claim your child’s things.  Items not claimed by the last day of school will be donated to charity.  If you will be coming to the BBQ on Monday, Field day on Wednesday, Graduation on Thursday or Talent show on Friday – please take a look at the lost and found.

Yearbook update:
LIMITED SUPPLY OF YEARBOOKS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE!  Yearbooks have arrived, and they look great!  If you forgot to buy your Crescent Heights student a yearbook, we have a limited amount of books available to purchase.  Please contact Dana Flynn at or 253.952.1784.  The books are $20.00 each.  Yearbooks will be distributed this week!

Crescent Heights One Book Sponsors Wanted:
We are looking for businesses that would like to participate in a partnership with the Crescent Heights PTA.  This fall, we will launch our 2nd Annual “Crescent Heights One Book” program.  This program features a book that the entire school reads at the same time to develop a sense of community and promote reading at home.  Each Crescent Heights student will receive the featured book as a gift to read at home.  We have various business sponsorships levels available.  Please contact Dana Flynn, Crescent Heights One Book Chair, at 253.952.1784 or to learn more about the program and to donate money.
