Apex Fundraiser is Underway!

Good afternoon families!

Have you noticed your child talking about our super fun assembly we had yesterday?  The Dream Team from Apex was on site getting the kids excited about our Spring Fundraiser, the Apex Fun Run.

We fell just a bit short of our goal on our Fall fundraiser, so we’ve partnered up with the Apex Fun Run team to help us close the gap.  Apex is an organization that is all about Leadership, Fitness and Fundraising.  The Dream Team will be in our classrooms every day for the next two weeks giving brief lessons on leadership, character building and teamwork!  Next Thursday, all of our students will run laps with the Apex Dream Team and that’s where we need YOUR help!

We are asking each child to ask family and friends to support them by pledging them for each Apex lap that they run.  Our goal is for each child to raise $3.00 per lap.  This can be done by asking three people to pledge $1 per lap…or 6 people to pledge just .50 per lap.  No amount is too small, and every pledge for every lap counts!

What will the money be used for:
– First and foremost:  We need to close the gap on our fall fundraiser.  We need to raise $4,000 to meet our budget for the year.
– Second, if we exceed $4,000, we’ll earmark a small budget for the school’s PBIS program.  These funds will allow our staff to purchase items for our Husky Store – these are the fun rewards your child earns and purchases with their Husky Bucks.
– Third – if we make more beyond that – all surplus funds will ROLL OVER into next year’s budget!  This means that we will have to fundraise LESS in the fall to fund the 2016/2017 school year.

Pledging is quick and easy!  Simply log onto www.apexfunrun.com and enter your child’s access code in the upper right corner.  Create a simple profile, and share the links with family and friends.  If you need your child’s access code, just let us know!

Parents:  Check out this info video here!  It has a ton of great information about the program and the upcoming run – geared specifically to parents.  Want to help?  We need parent volunteers next Wednesday during the run itself.  It’s guaranteed to be a fun and energetic day!  Please sign up here to help!

Today’s classroom lesson was “Dive In”.  What did your child take away from this lesson?

We know that many of our families participated generously in our Dance-A-Thon this fall.  We also understand that there are many financial commitments that come along from school, sports and other activities.  We are asking for your help this one last time for this school year.  Crescent Heights would not be the amazing place it is without the financial and volunteer help of our families.  We know this, and we are grateful for your support.

Let’s go Huskies!  We can do this!
