Fundraiser Meeting – HELP NEEDED with Dance-A-Thon planning!

We hope you are all having a great summer vacation so far. Can you believe it is already July? September will be here before we know it and our kiddos will be heading back to school.
Will you help us make this a GREAT year for Crescent Heights students? We NEED your help. We are planning to have a Dance-A-Thon be our main (and hopefully ONLY) fundraiser for the year. If we can pull this off, we will keep 100% of the profits of this event! But – the PTA board cannot do this on our own. We need many hands to help!
We are asking any parent that is interested in helping with a part of the Dance-A-Thon fundraiser prep work (from now through November) to join us for a planning/strategy meeting on Tuesday, July 25 at 6:00 PM. We will be talking through the following work groups:
Sponsorships/Prize Procurement: Find corporate sponsors, determine achievement levels and prizes for the different levels.
Volunteer Recruiter: Find volunteers for different sub-committees, money collections, day of volunteers, decorations, setup/cleanup, etc.
T-shirt Design, ordering, and distribution: Select a T-shirt vendor, help to finalize the design of the shirt, coordinate class orders and distribute to students.
Publicity: Coordinate classroom visits, daily announcements, reader board, progress charts, etc.
Data Entry: Entering daily pledges, updating leaderboards by classroom/individuals
Money Collection team: Collect daily donations, tally totals, and assist with daily reconciliations.
Collateral Creation: Fliers, fliers, fliers! Help to design all take-home materials, pledge forms, etc.
As you can see there are lots of different areas to help. Do you see something that really speaks to your strengths? We need everyone to pitch in to make this event a success.
