5th Grade Party volunteers are still needed. The more hands, the merrier! If you’re a 5th grade parent and want to help to chaperone the group that your child will be in, you need to connect with your child’s teacher ASAP. Notes will be going home this week with party details and what your child needs to bring in on Friday! It’s going to be a great day and we’re looking forward to a fun party for the kids. A big thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed the carnival on Friday night! We had a great turnout and hope that everyone had a great time. If you took photos at the carnival, and are willing to share them with PTA for internal purposes only, please send them to email@example.com. We’d like to have some to use for internal committee use only. Thank you! And another HUGE thank you to those of you that volunteered to help! We’ll be holding our volunteer raffle this week and we’ll let you know if you won a prize!!
The CHE Marathon is now over! Unfortunately, we are no longer able to accept or log at-home miles. We’ve ordered prizes for those that completed the marathon and/or turned in at-home miles by last Thursday’s completion date. We plan to hold the Marathon party this week for those kids that completed the marathon – notes will be going home to those kiddos who met this goal!
Lost & Found:
Parents – the lost & found area is out of control. There are SO many coats, sweatshirts, jackets, shoes, lunchboxes, etc. waiting to be claimed! Items not claimed by the last day of school will be donated to charity. There are lots of assemblies over the next two weeks; please come and look for your child’s items.
5th Grade Parents:
The Meeker PTA is currently looking for a secretary and a co-vice president for next year’s PTA board. Currently the Meeker PTA board consists of all parents from Browns Point. They would love to have representation from all three elementary “feeder” schools. Here are some details:
Meeker is a different level of commitment: less time, only four meetings per year
It is a different type of commitment too – the PTA really makes a difference and has an impact in what’s happening at the school. PTA has a strong partnership with the administration and teachers, one we want to keep and grow stronger.
Lots of positive energy and momentum now
Contrary to common myth – Meeker does need parents and parent voice!

Crescent Heights One Book Sponsors Wanted:
We are looking for businesses that would like to participate in a partnership with the Crescent Heights PTA. This fall, we will launch our 2nd Annual “Crescent Heights One Book” program. This program features a book that the entire school reads at the same time to develop a sense of community and promote reading at home. Each Crescent Heights student will receive the featured book as a gift to read at home. We have various business sponsorships levels available. Friday, June 12th: 5th Grade Walk, Talent Show & Moving Up Day.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL SCHEDULE:
9:20 – 9:30: 5th Grade Walk. All of the lower grades line the hallways and cheer for the 5th grade students as they walk down to the talent show. Parents are welcome to come at take pictures, cry a little, etc. 🙂
9:30 – 11:00: Talent Show. Come watch our talented group of kiddos sing, dance, tell jokes, do a magic trick, etc! We hear some special surprises are planned!
11:10 – 11:15: Moving Up Transition
11:15 – 11:25: Meet New Teachers
11:30 – 12:15: Back in Class
12:15: SUMMER VACATION BEGINS!
