Husky Connection June 11 – 15 (Last Week of School!)
Here is what is happening the last week of school:
June 11: The 2017/2018 Crescent Heights Yearbooks have arrived!
Yearbooks will be distributed to students who placed a pre-order on Monday, June 11th. Please be sure to check your child’s order for accuracy, and let us know within 24 hours if there are any issues with your order at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will have a very limited amount of yearbooks for sale beginning on Wednesday, June 13th, for $20. If you did not place a pre-order and want to purchase a yearbook, your child can bring cash (exact change only) or check (made out to Crescent Heights PTA) on Wednesday morning. Sales will happen on a first come, first served basis.
June 12: Field Day!
Check with your child’s teacher for their assigned time and to volunteer. Students may wear athletic clothing.
June 14: Fifth Grade Walk and Graduation Ceremony & Party!
5th grade students should dress up for their celebration! The 5th grade walk begins at 9:15am (lower grades line the hallways and cheer for their 5th grade peers). The celebration ceremony will begin at 9:30am in the gymnasium. Families are invited to come, and stay after for photos with their child. Please remember to send a change of clothes for the students, as they’ll then move to their 5th grade party – outside – right after the ceremony.
June 15: Talent Show, 9:30am
June 15: Last Day of School, Early Dismissal 12:15pm
Used Uniforms Needed
With just one week left of school, many families are starting to clean out their closets. If you have gently used uniforms with lots of life left in them, please bring them to the school to donate to our used uniform rack. The used uniform rack provides uniforms to families who might not otherwise be able to afford them.
Please only donate clothing that is free of stains, rips or tears – something that you’d be proud for your own child to wear. Clothing can be dropped off in the office anytime through the end of the week!
Parent Advisory Group Update – Need Volunteers!
Passionate about safer crosswalks and routes to school? The CHE Parent Advisory Group is forming a team to advocate for enhanced safety measures, such as flashing lights and speed cameras, to our local representatives. Seeking 2-3 people to lead this effort. Add your voice to the team by emailing email@example.com.
