Husky Connection: March 11-15

Did you remember to “spring” forward? Don’t forget to change all of your clocks to Daylight Savings Time!

Here’s what’s happening in and around school in the weeks ahead ~

PTA Meeting
Tuesday, March 12 in the library at 7pm. FREE childcare provided!

One Book
“The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” has been selected as the book our students will be reading school-wide this year. PTA dollars donated at our Fun Run were used to purchase a copy for every student and staff member!

Your student should have brought home a book and a bright green reading calendar last week. On Thursday, March 28 from 6:30 to 7:30pm, there will be a One Book celebration at school, including a Readers Theater performance and displays of student work.

Skate Night
Friday, March 22 from 5-7pm at Pattison’s West. Be on the lookout for more information, coming home this week!

Jenn Schmitt recently received an award from the 2018 Lifetouch National Studios Yearbook Showcase Contest for “Honorable Mention – Elementary Schools.” Way to go, Jenn! Information about purchasing yearbooks for this year will be coming home this week.

Volunteer Help Needed – Dental Screenings
Thursday, March 28 from 8:55-10:30am to help get students to/from screenings and back to class. Please call Rhonda at 253-571-5500 if you can help!

Begins after Spring Break. Information will be coming home soon. This is a fun event for parent volunteers and younger siblings are welcome! If you’re able to help, here is the link to sign up:
