Pennies for Patients is a service learning project that incorporates community service into the classroom.

Through community service, students learn new skills, assume responsibilities, become aware of the needs of others, and learn the importance of unselfish serving and giving.  Community service links students to the wider community and exposes them to people and situations outside their previous experiences.

Your student will have the satisfaction of knowing that their spare change made a difference in the lives of people in our community.  Not only will you be helping patients and their families stricken with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease, but also helping children help others!

From March 2- 20, Crescent Heights Elementary will be participating in this awesome program.  All you have to do is collect coins and other donations and put them in your classroom’s box.  You may also encourage friends and family to donate online.  Our school’s donation website is  Thank you for your participation!!

Have a great week!
