May 1-5 is Teacher Appreciation Week! Look for info from your student’s room parent(s) for details on what classes are doing individually. Thurs. May 4th- Emergency Shed clean out, 3:45 PM. We are looking for a few parents to help us clean out and check the items in our Emergency Preparedness shed. Please email email@example.com if you are able to help.
Thurs. May 4th- Kindergarten Music Concert, 7:00 p.m
Friday, May 5th- Golden Acorn Nominations due. The Golden Acorn is a PTA award given to an outstanding volunteer from CHE. Please consider nominating your room parent, someone you see reading with children, helping with PTA programs, etc. Nominations are due on May 5th and can be turned into your child’s teacher, or to the office. Please click here for a nomination form.
Marathon is underway! Questions? Contact Morgan Meyers at firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteers are desperately needed, please sign up here ! If your child is running or walking extra laps outside of school; record their mileage on marathon forms and turn them into the office with a parent signature. Morgan will add the distance to their running logs.
State Testing: A reminder that testing is taking place the month of May for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Please aim to have your child well rested, and on time to school. Preferably scheduling outside appointments not in the testing window. Check with individual teachers for days and times of testing.
Thurs. May 9th: P.T.A Meeting, 7:00 Library. This is our most important meeting of the year – we will be voting in our Executive Board and approving the budget for the 2017/2018 school year. Childcare will be provided. Please consider attending!
Friday, May 12th: Walk to School Day! Meet at Center at Norpoint at 8:15 AM and we will all walk to school together! RSVP here: walktoschool.eventbrite.com. If you are interested in helping to coordinate this event (EASY WORK) please email email@example.com.
Thurs. May 17th: 5th Grade Parent meeting, 5:30 PM in the library. Meet Meeker’s Principal for a presentation about your student’s transition to middle school! This is a great opportunity for small group discussion with your new Principal!

Mon. May 29th: No school, Memorial Day
A word from the kitchen: Double check your lunch menus that were sent home. Initial one distributed was for the Head Start/ECEAP Pre-school program. Please disregard and follow the most recent.
PTA is looking for volunteers to assist with planning our annual Crescent Heights Carnival. Please contact Kimberley Syverson at firstname.lastname@example.org. for more information. We are also in need of PRIZES for our Carnival! If you are able to donate small prizes (stickers, mini erasers, jelly bracelets, etc), please drop them off in the office. Oriental Trading is a great resource for these. Help make our carnival fun for the kids with the small prizes for our game stations.
