Greetings Husky families!  There are a lot of things happening this week, so be informed!

Monday, Oct. 5: Box tops are due! Please turn in completed sheets with your child’s name on it. Your child will earn one Husky Buck for each form with 25 individual box tops on it. Our goal this year is $1,000.  Wouldn’t that be just awesome for new playground equipment or even physical education equipment or improvements?

Tuesday, Oct 6th:  Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser Collection day – please send in your donations with your child in an envelope marked with their name & teacher’s name!

Tuesday, Oct. 6:  Center at Norpoint at 6 o’clock until 8 pm. PLEASE JOIN US!  Need child care? No problem! Childcare will be provided by the Center at Norpoint staff from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. A small fee of $4.oo per half hour, per child. Childcare may be purchased at the front desk as you come in. Ages are 6 weeks -8 years old. Please keep in mind that there will be limited spots, but we do not want that to discourage you from coming as this is a meet and greet, drop-in, open house style event.

The CHE PTA Executive Board is hosting this icebreaker event and appetizers and refreshments will be served.  Please show your pride and enthusiasm for our awesome school and hardworking PTA members who are doing their best to listen to your VOICE!  Now is your chance to make a huge difference!  Come out and meet this year’s board representatives if you haven’t already, chat with committee chairs, and best of all, connect with other parents from our school!  You DO NOT NEED TO BE A PTA MEMBER TO ATTEND, BUT LOOK AT OUR FABULOUS TEACHERS!  THEY ARE AT 100% WITH PTA MEMBERSHIP! We are only at 24%!  By working together, think about what we can accomplish!  I know we can get more! Let’s bring that percentage up! WHY NOT JOIN AND IMPROVE OUR PARENT INVOLVEMENT! YOUR KIDS WILL THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND WHAT A GREAT WAY TO SEND A POSITIVE EXAMPLE TO YOUR CHILD AND MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO PROVIDE MORE TOOLS THAT THEY NEED!

Wednesday, October 7:  Picture Day (contact the office if you’d like to volunteer!)
By now, you should have received your child’s picture form that went home with them. We are looking for a few volunteers to help out. Tth-5here are two shifts, 9am – 12pm  and 12:30pm – 3:30pm. Volunteers will receive a free picture packet valued at $21.00. If you are able to volunteer for either the morning or afternoon shift, please contact Rhonda Garrison in the office at 253.571.5539.

Thursday, October 8: Dance-A-Thon FUNdraiser Collection Day -please send in your donations with your child in an envelope marked with their name & teacher’s name!  The fundraiser ends on Oct 8th!   *(see details below)

Friday, October 9:  Student of the Month Assembly –  9:30 am

Friday, Oct. 9: Reflections Committee meeting –  10 a.m. in the Instructional Room. The Reflections Program is a th-6National PTA and WSPTA cultural arts competition.  The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. The program will take place October 19th to November 16th. All are invited to attend!

*Update on our CHE Fundraiser Dance-A-Thon ~ in case you haven’t heard, your hard work dancing has DATBannerbrought our school’s donation total up to $5,000 with $15,000 more to go!  That is 25% of our $20,000 minimum goal to support the programs that the PTA provides for our school. This is SUPER EXCITING and our Husky Pride is definitely shining through, thanks to our wonderful students, YOU, the awesome teachers and staff, and our fabulous principal and PTA!  Remember to ask 10 friends or family members for a donation of $10 to your school in return for your awesome dance moves…you know the rest!

Please remember to mention that 100% of all donations go directly to the school, there is no vendor pay out. As a small token of our appreciation, the PTA will be giving each student a special treat on Monday for all their hard efforts in supporting our school-wide fundraiser! Finally ~ the Yearbook team still needs photos! There will be plenty of opportunities coming up with Cameraclassroom parties, field trips, dancing, or just plain capturing wonderful shots of the students making memories!
