Husky Connection May 15th-19th

Husky Connection for May 15th-19th A view of the week: Jump Rope for Heart is happening! Students will jump during their scheduled P.E time. Packets are due May 25th. Marathon this week! Tuesday, Wednesday AND Thursday. Volunteers are needed, please sign up here ! Walk to School Day TOMORROW!

Good evening Crescent Heights Families! Rain or shine we are participating in “Walk to School Day” Friday, May 12th. Details: Meet at the Center at Norpoint Skate Park at 8:15 a.m for a quick snack and pep rally! We will start our walk at 8:30 and arrive to school by 8:45. We will teach students how to safely cross the street, how to watch the road, and be safe on their route to school. As a special guest Officer Showalter will be joining us. Lost and Found – Please come claim your items

Parents – As the school year is drawing to a close, and with our weather changing on an almost daily basis, our lost & found rack is literally overflowing with lost jackets and sweatshirts. Please take time in the next few weeks to come to the lower hallway to claim your child’s items.  There are hundreds of dollars in kids jackets that are waiting for their owners. Any items left at the end of the school year will be donated to charity.

**School Carnival Planning Meeting Tonight**

  At 6:00 p.m we will be holding a Carnival planning meeting.  We are in a critical mode right now – we don’t have any volunteer support for the planning phases of the carnival.  Carnival is a big job – and the Executive team simply can’t do it by ourselves.  We need a few key team members: – Volunteer Coordinator (Filled) – Food team (decide on what to serve, set pricing, coordinate, etc) – Games/Prizes (figure out what games to provide, secure prizes for the games) – Decorations team (Filled) – Entertainment coordinator (Inflatables, vendors, pie eating contest, etc.)  The...

Rodent Issue Resolution

Below is a recap of the call from Mr. McGeeney that went out this afternoon: Good Evening Crescent Heights Families, This is Mr. McGeeney (calling) with some good news about an important safety issue. After two months of investigation, pest control attempts and cleaning by the district’s maintenance and operations team, the mystery of the intermittent smell near our front entrance has been resolved.  Over the weekend, the maintenance and operations crew cut into the ceiling near the front entry and discovered remnants of a past rodent nest, and four live rodents in the insulation.  The crew removed and disposed of the...

PTA General Membership Meeting next Tuesday, May 9th

Good evening families, Next Tuesday, May 9th is our final “official” PTA meeting of the year – and it’s an important one. We will be approving the PTA budget for the 2017/2018 school year, reviewing the PTA standing rules, and voting in our 2017/2018 Executive Board.  We need a good turnout in order for the elections to be valid, so we are asking for your attendance.  Childcare will be provided!  The meeting begins at 7 PM in the CHE Library.  The agenda for the meeting is below.
