Volunteers needed for two important year-end events!

Crescent Heights Families, The end of the school year is quickly approaching, and with that means several important year-end events that we need your help with! First up is the all-school Carnival, which will be held on Friday, May 29th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  We need many volunteers to make this a successful event!  We have scheduled half-hour time slots (which really do go by very quickly).  Please consider giving a half hour (or hour) of time during the carnival to help us set up, run games/activities, serve food, and clean up!  We are coordinating volunteers for the Carnival...

5th Grade Party & PTA Meetings tonight!

CHE Families, We have two important meetings tonight: We will be holding a 5th Grade Party planning meeting at 6:00 PM in the Instructional Room.  All 5th grade parents are invited to attend (along with any other parents who would like to help out!)  We will be outlining the plans for the party, and you’ll want to sign up early to get your pick of volunteer opportunities! Free Dress Day tomorrow (Friday) for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Tomorrow (Friday) is free dress day in honor of teacher appreciation week!! We are encouraging kids to wear their teacher’s favorite color in some way. I’m sure teachers will enjoy seeing the personality of their kids in free dress in general too! Golden Acorn Deadline is tomorrow!

Good morning, The deadline to submit a Golden Acorn nomination is tomorrow, May 8th.  What’s a Golden Acorn, you ask?  This is an award that is given to a PTA member that has given outstanding volunteer service and shown dedication to our children and youth.  The Washington State PTA sponsors this award, and the winner will have a monetary contribution made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships for post-secondary students. May 1 is not a free dress day

We are hearing some questions early this morning about if today is a free dress day.  It is not.  Next Friday, May 8 will be a free dress day, in conjunction with teacher appreciation week.  Each class will wear their teacher’s favorite color (look for additional details to come out in this weekend’s Husky Connection.)

Used Uniform Buy Back this Friday!

Crescent Heights Families, The PTA will be offering a Used Uniform Buy Back at Skate Night this Friday, April 24th.  Bring your used uniforms to Pattison’s West and we’ll pay you for your clean, gently used items.  Clothing must be freshly laundered, without holes, tears, stains or fading and within CHE uniform guidelines.  Please bring clothes in the same shape you would purchase them in.   Clothing donations will be gladly accepted and can be dropped off at Pattison’s West on Friday night or in the school office at any time.
