Meeting with McGeeney, this morning at 9 am!

Good morning CHE Families, Just a reminder that today is our first “Morning with McGeeney”.   Please join us this morning at 9 AM to meet Mr. McGeeney, learn about the new PBiS program being implemented at Crescent Heights, and to ask questions!  It is not often that we have a change in leadership in the school, and this is a great opportunity to ask questions and let our new Principal know what’s on your mind! Light refreshments will be served.  We hope to see you this morning at 9 AM!

Membership Raffle Basket Winners!!

Congratulations on an another successful Open House / Ice Cream Social Event! Summer Reading Program Participants 

Please return your Summer Reading Packet to Mrs. Jones. Reading lists can be submitted on a lined piece of paper or on the original paperwork. Library programs your child participated in will also be honored. The expectation for Kindergarten through 2nd grade was the completion of 20 to 25 picture books, either read independently or with a parent. Third through fifth grade students should have read 3 to 5 chapter books to be eligible. Please include your child’s name and current classroom teacher

Ice Cream Social tonight, Sept 3rd, from 5 – 7 PM!

Good morning! Tonight is our back-to-school Ice Cream Social event.  Come enjoy an ice cream treat, meet your teachers, and reunite with your friends!  We ask that you please bring your child’s school supplies to the Ice Cream Social (don’t wait until the first day of school). Help needed for Ice Cream Social on Sept. 3rd

Parents – The PTA is looking for some volunteer help during the Ice Cream Social, next Thursday, September 3rd, from 5 -7 PM. We are holding a Used Uniform Sale on Thursday (a great time for you to snag gently used uniforms for amazing prices) – but we need a few parents to help!  Please let us know if you can give just 30 minutes of your time between 5 -7 PM to help staff the uniform sale and/or hand out ice cream!  We want all parents to get to drop off supplies and show their child their new classroom...

BIG news for 5th Grade Families!

The PTA is thrilled to announce some very exciting news for our 5th grade families! Our entire 5th grade class will be going to camp this year!! Many other elementary schools in Tacoma send their 5th grade classes to 5th Grade Camp every year – and we are happy to say that starting this year, Crescent Heights kids will be joining them! Our students will go to camp from February 22 – 24, 2016, for three days and two nights of fun at YMCA Camp Seymour’s Outdoor and Environmental Education camp, located on the Olympic Peninsula.  Kids will learn about...

Last Day of School Schedule

It’s finally here!  The last day of school!  Here’s a reminder of today’s schedule: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL SCHEDULE: 9:00:  LAST, LAST chance to buy a yearbook!  See Dana Flynn in the school office to pick up at yearbook.  Cost is $20. 9:20 – 9:30:  5th Grade Walk.  All of the lower grades line the hallways and cheer for the 5th grade students as they walk down to the talent show.  Parents are welcome to come and take pictures, cry a little, etc.   9:30 – 11:00:  Talent Show.  Come watch our talented group of kiddos sing, dance, tell jokes, do...
