Meet & Greet and Dance-A-Thon updates and reminders!

Good evening,
Just a reminder that tomorrow evening the PTA will be hosting our Meet & Greet event for all Crescent Heights families.  We invite you to join us for this casual, drop-in event at the Center at Norpoint from 6-8 pm.  Light appetizers and beverages will be served!  Drop by and say hello, meet the executive committee and board chairs and other parents!  We’d love to get to know you!  Please RSVP at this link if you’re able to join us.


Now for a few Dance-A-Thon updates:  Here are the results and the leaderboard as of this evening.

Top student in grades K-1 is Tatum Halstead with $490 in donations!  (Tatum is also running #1 in the whole school right now!  Way to go, Tatum!)  

Top student in grades 2-3 is Rowen Miles with $320 in donations!

Top student in grades 4-5 is Alex Reed with $140 in donations!

The top staff member is Mrs. Thomas with a $100 donation!

Our total draw so far for the Dance-A-Thon is $5,388.00  – That’s about 27% of the way to our minimum of $20,000 goal.  This amount has been brought in by just 17% of the students at CHE.  We have 500 students – yet only 83 have participated so far in our fundraiser.  We really need help from all students in order to hit our goal!  What can we do to help encourage your child’s involvement?

We have heard that some parents are waiting to submit their donations until the last day – we’d encourage you not to wait!  If you wait, your child is missing out on the twice-weekly prize drawings!  We have some great prizes to give away.  If you have donations ready to go, please send them in with your child tomorrow!  

If every student brings in just $30.00 tomorrow – we will HIT our $20,000 minimum goal and we won’t have to hold a “selling-type” fundraiser.  I know we can do it!  Can we get your help?  Together as a community we can make it happen!   Your donations go DIRECTLY to YOUR child.  To EVERY child in our school.  It pays for field trips, arts programs, literacy programs, student scholarships, classroom supplies, pottery, field day….if it’s bright, and colorful, and outside of the “regular” curriculum your child sees in the classroom, it’s likely supported by the PTA and the resources that your funding provides.  We ask for your support over this next week of our FUNdraiser.  Thank you!
