We invite you to join us for our special One Book celebration this evening at 6:00 PM. We are especially thrilled to be presenting a theatrical production of The Mouse and the Motorcycle, adapted by dad and Crescent Heights parent Aaron Carpenter. Here a few details to keep in mind for this evening:
– Doors open at 6:00 PM. From 6:00 – 6:30, we invite you to take your photo with Ralph and his motorcycle, have a snack, and read a book with your family.
– At 6:30 pm sharp, we will begin our play! We’ll ask that students sit with their families in the chairs in the gymnasium.
– Our cast has been working really hard on their lines and learning all about what it means to be in a theatrical production. Please, remind your children that they need to keep quiet during the play. There are a few points where the crowd will be asked to interact with the characters, but aside from that, we’d ask that the audience is watching and listening quietly out of respect for our performers.
– We will have some tables of books set out for your children to select a FREE book to take home and read! (Please note – this isn’t a book “swap” – so no need to bring books to exchange). We’re refreshing some of the books in our library and are happy to share some surplus with our Crescent Heights families!
We look forward to seeing all of you tonight as we celebrate the end of our reading month and our time with “The Mouse and the Motorcycle”!
The Crescent Heights, One Book program is proudly brought to you by the PTA and by the support of our sponsors:
