REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST
The PTA is excited to participate in the National PTA art contest called Reflections! This is a great way for your student to show off their talents!
The Reflections program is one of the nation’s oldest and largest arts education programs. It has encouraged millions of students across the nation to explore their artistic talents by creating works of art for fun and recognition. Each fall, Crescent Heights students are encouraged to submit an arts project in any of six categories – visual arts, photography, literature, film production, dance choreography, and music composition.
Entries will be judged and some will advance to regional judging. If an entry wins at regionals, it will advance to state. If the entry wins at state, then it will advance to the national level.
An informational flyer has been sent home with your student. If your student is interested in participating, please have them grab a copy of the general rules, and a flyer specific category that they are interested in.
Please make sure to read the rules so that your students entry will not be disqualified. More details and category specific rules can be found at: http://www.wastatepta.org/programs/reflections/forms.html. The rules are also available at school on the bulletin board near the library. Student entries can be turned into the office.
There is also a short YouTube video explaining the program:
