This week we are happy to feature Kristyn Prante, one of our amazing school counselors! She makes such a big difference in the lives of the kiddos that she works with. Here is more about Kristyn!
Tell us a bit about your family. Do you have kids? If so, what ages are they? Do you have pets?
I have been married to my best friend, Shane, for 9 1/2 years, and we have two boys. Issac is 3 and Luke is 18 months. Our life is busy and so fun! We have an 11 year-old cat named Daisy Mae I got from my cousin right after my dad passed away. We think she is part dog, and great with the kids.
What are your hobbies? What do you love to do outside of work?
We love to go to the park, go for walks, play games together and have random dance parties. When I had free time, I enjoyed reading and working out, but that’s few and far between these days!
How long have you been teaching, and how many years at Crescent Heights?
This is my 4th year as a counselor, and my 2nd year at Crescent Heights.
What is the funniest thing a student has ever done in your class?
Oh man, there’s been so many funny things happen during guidance lessons and groups! My favorite has to be the time a 2nd grade boy laughed so hard that chocolate milk came out of his nose! We couldn’t stop laughing. So fun!
If you weren’t a school counselor, what else would you love to do as your career?
I’d love to be a photographer.
Tell us one thing you’d love for the families of Crescent Heights to know about you.
That I love their kids and always want the best for them. I am here to support students, parents and teachers in any way that I can!
