The PTA helps our school purchase technology, afford bussing for field trips, put on special assemblies and programs, and buy materials that are not in educator's budgets. We do this through fundraising throughout the year.
Annual School-wide Fundraiser: Thursday, March 27, 2025
Stay tuned for more information about our major spring fundraiser!!
Read-A-Thon
Students will read and earn money for our school. This 2 week program will run from October 7-18. Funds raised by the 5th grade will go towards 5th grade camp and celebration. Funds raised by the rest of the school will be put towards the Family Assistance Fund, buses for school field trips, and the general PTA fund (to be used for special assemblies, Harvest Party, Valentine's Dance, etc). Sign up your student here.
Scholastic Book Fair
Our Crescent Heights PTA hosts 2 book fairs each school year, fall and spring. The primary goals for our book fair fundraisers - aside from getting great books into students' hands - include paying for yearly subscriptions to Scholastic News for each student attending CHE, purchasing books for teachers to add to their individual classroom libraries, and purchasing new books for the school library. The support of our fantastic CHE community continues to make this possible.
Our first will be October 14-18, 2024. Volunteer to help with book fair here
The second will in the spring.
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to our book fair host/chairperson at bookfair@chepta.org
Passive Fundraisers:
You may have heard us talk about Passive Fundraisers in the past, which really just means that when you do something you would be doing anyway (grocery shopping, dining out or purchasing a product) CHE PTA gets small financial benefit. Once you set up this “set and forget” system, you really don’t have to do much, except for your regular shopping or activities! We now have four ways we collect from passive fundraisers that we’d love to have your help with: Box Tops, Fred Meyer Community Rewards, Smith Brothers Farms Husky Takeout Nights.
Just SET and FORGET about them! Be sure to share with your family & friends because ANYONE can set their chosen charity as Crescent Heights PTA!
BOX TOPS
All money collected from Box Tops for Education will go toward the purchase of equipment to be used in and around our School Building. Last year our students brought in over 10,000 Tops and we were able to purchase much needed playground equipment including rubber balls, soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, jump ropes, and some great new games. Check out www.boxtops4education.com for Box Top instructions and news!
FRED MEYER COMMUNITY REWARDS
Fred Meyer Community Rewards gives our school a percentage of the money you spend every time your shop. Go to the Community Rewards section on your account and enter Crescent Heights Elementary PTA (or VB365) for the Organization Number. Help CHE earn money while you do your regular shopping!
SMITH BROTHERS
Smith Brothers Farms, the Puget Sound’s homegrown dairy & grocery home delivery brand, is continuing their legacy of partnering with local schools. Donations support local programs, education, and extra-curricular activities in our community. Donations accumulate with each new customer who signs up to receive weekly delivery of Smith Brothers’ fresh dairy, almond or oat milk, local fruit and vegetables, proteins, bread and bakery items.
Each new Smith Brothers Farms customer who signs up for home delivery on their website using code CrescentHeightsPTA receives $15 in free groceries and activates a $50 donation from SBF to the Crescent Heights PTA!
HUSKY TAKEOUT NIGHTS
Watch for information for Husky Takeout Nights throughout the year! Previous takeout nights have included restaurants like Chipotle and Mod Pizza.
