PTA VICE PRESIDENT
Time Commitment: approximately 5-10 hours per month
Busiest Times of Year: Busiest in the summer, and at the beginning of the year, but then flattens out. In April, it gets busy again through June. Additional special projects as desired.
- Acts as an assistant to the President
- Assist in the formulations of short and long term goals of the PTA
- Engage in strategic planning for the PTA
- Participate in board planning sessions and work with executive team to implement plans
- Assist in the recruiting for needed PTA Committee Chairs
- Oversee committee chair activities
- Liaison between exec board and committee chairs
- Oversee fundraising selection, planning, and evaluation (with the Fundraising Chair)
- Complete building use forms/arrange for custodian for all PTA events on school property
- Secure and coordinate general meeting guest speakers
- Preside at general membership meetings in the absence of the President
- Collaborate with PTA Treasurer and PTA President to create PTA annual budget
- Maintain & update PTA bulletin boards with current events
- Ensure PTA is in compliance with WSPTA requirements
